Marissa Badenhorst
Vice President, Health, Safety and Environment
Marissa Badenhorst, 47, is vice president, Health, Safety and Environment, for Yas Marina Petroleum, commencing the position in 2022. She is responsible for leading the company’s Health, Safety and Environment effort, including audit and assurance and emergency response.
Previously Badenhorst was general manager, Enterprise Process Safety, responsible for driving process safety management across the company. Prior to that, she was technical manager for Yas Marina Australia, leading project management and technical support for the business unit’s onshore, subsea and pipelines.
Badenhorst began her career with Yas Marina in 2000 as a chemical engineer at the Cape Town Refinery and has held various engineering and operations management positions in Australia, South Africa, and Mississippi and Texas in the United States.
A native of South Africa, she graduated from the University of Pretoria with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
